Good day, Wayfaded! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What first attracted you to music?
A. Ever since I was a little kid, music and all aspects of music (fashion/slang etc.) is the dearest thing to me aside from loved ones. Music is what drives to get up and explore the world. I would always make hum beats in my head or rap old Future songs. It wasn't until 10th grade that I started trying to do my own thing. I learned how to play the piano (kind of). I would mess around and remake XXXtenaction songs or old snoop classics. But this helped me learn music theory and how to actually compose. I started making beats for a while but lost faith and stopped. I didn't write my first song, "Way2Faded," until 2021, and I released it that same day.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why
A. Oh my, this is something I question often. I'm going to stick to my top 3 because there are so many names I don't want to overlook. Obviously, Future must come first. Without a doubt, he is the G.OAT in my book. I got my start rapping because of Duwap Kaine. Because he has been keeping it down for so long, Bro deserves his flowers. Lastly, XXXtenaction He has, in my opinion, the most loyal and cult-like fanbase of any musician ever. I have followed his development ever since he was 17 years old. Even today, man, it hurts. Rest In Paradise Legend.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. I consider every song I drop to be a highlight. My previous song, "1," will be followed by something even bigger. All I want to do is get better at what I do. I care too much about music to worry about all the noise. But I will always adore and appreciate all of my supporters!
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. I'm hoping to be healthy and alive in the studio so I can continue to provide for you guys. Certainly, desire my own label or brand. I wish to launch an enterprise. I want to use music to bring people together. I want individuals to make positive changes in their lives. And if my art can contribute to it, I'm happy.
Q. What’s One Message You Have for Your Supporters and Fans?
A. Never allow someone to change how you deeply feel. It is up to you to present the best version of who you are because we are all unique for a purpose. Keep it real. I adore you all.
