Q. Hello, YMLMatt! We appreciate your time spent speaking with us. The first question we have for you is, "What first drew you to music?
A. I began creating music a few years ago when I became more interested in rapping. I saw my homeboy Tez rapping and wanted to do the same, so I asked him how he was doing it. I continued after he had given me the fundamentals.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. Lil Uzi is by far my biggest musical influence, as everybody who knows me recognizes. I began rapping entirely because of him. He is a significant impact on me because of his music, style, and never-ending capacity to disprove critics. Due to his distinctive flows, adlibs, and capacity to create wrath in listeners through his songs, Playboi Carti is another person who has influenced me. Because of his excellent beat choices, fiery mood, and hard ethic, Yeat is another impact on me. Juice Wrld is a different example of someone who inspires me. I was obviously impacted by his voice, ability to freestyle endlessly, and willingness to speak openly about his feelings.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Collaboration with the Alief Store has been my biggest professional accomplishment so far. Being able to work with the store and have an impact on the residents of Alief is a blessing for me because I was born and raised there.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I envision becoming a rock star. The sky is the limit, my mother used to always tell me to dream big. I'm attempting to reach the sun, so screw the sky.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. I'm extremely appreciative of my followers and supports. Must thank my biggest fan, who is God. None of this would be possible without my fans. Continue helping, and I'll keep working as hard as I can for you guys. I'd like to thank you all for making my aspirations come true.
