Interview With Khi10k: The Artist Displaying His Complexity On Every Track

Q. Hello, Khi10k! We appreciate your time spent speaking with us. The first question we have for you is, "What first drew you to making beats?

A. I've played the piano and the guitar since I was a young child, and I have numerous images of myself doing so. I used to see my dad, a local rapper when I was a kid, use his MPC to record music. I began using my uncle's laptop and the software Garage Band when I was eight years old. I had a lot of fun doing it, even if it wasn't anything crazy. I would begin recording when I was 11 years old and purchase my own laptop. Since then, I've been gradually improving my setup.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Pierre Bourne, Future, Chief Keef, Keed, Gotit, and the list goes on and on if I were to mention additional musical influences. I grew up in a church because my family runs a church. I used to listen to my mother and grandma singing while I was in a rehearsal. My musically gifted family has had a significant impact on me on both the mother and father's sides. My grandma taught me how to control melodies and my voice, and my father actually taught me how to catch pockets.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My local shows and streaming have to be the pinnacles of my music career. Even individuals across the nation enjoy my music, and I've had excellent returns on both. There have been 5,000 streams of my tape "Repent" overall on Soundcloud. My tape "How I Truly Feel" has nearly reached 1,000 streams on my second account, Kapitaldenim as well. I'm incredibly delighted about the fact that my solo singles also have numbers.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. I anticipate myself putting in more effort to expand my home studio and find a place of my own. After I expand my popularity a bit more, I'll most likely want to do more performances and go on a small tour. But aside from that, you may find me in the studio working on what I do best. Also, I'm constantly working on making new sounds.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. Even when it seems like you've reached a plateau, never stop moving forward. Sometimes you have to work a little before you get blessed. Always listen first before offering your opinion. Learning something from someone who might introduce you to some useful information is never a waste of time. Being flexible will be advantageous to you. In addition, remember that you are your best critic. And you'll be awesome if you obtain a bag.
