One-on-One Interview with Almighty 3: A Dive into The Artist's Life and Music

Q. Good day, Almighty 3! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. I first became interested in music when I joined a band in middle school. At first, it was just something I did to get out of class, but after a while, I discovered a new passion. I took a break from band for the last two years of middle school in my 7th and 8th grade years before rejoining in high school. The new director at my high school and my mentor to this day, urged me to join, and I'm pleased he did because he's the reason I wanted to learn more about music production, which led to me rapping.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. XXXTentacion, Juice Wrld, Kevin Gates, and Eminem are among of my musical influences. Because their music has helped me a lot over the years with coping and basically just trying to discover myself, I feel that XXXTentacion is a great inspiration. I haven't been diagnosed, but it's clear that I suffer from anxiety and depression, among other mental illnesses, and listening to XXXTentacion and some of his messages helps me figure out some of life's mysteries. Juice Wrld is also an influence on me because I watched how rapidly he rose to fame and how much people adored his music, and I just wanted to make people feel the same way. With Kevin Gates, it's not so much his music as it is his ideology that inspires me. Growing up, Gates and I had comparable experiences. But that's a story for another day. And Eminem is just someone I grew up listening to. I won't claim to know all of his songs by heart, but I do enjoy some classic Eminem.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. I don't have many big highlights because I'm still new, but one of the most memorable experiences I've had so far has been recording music with my new colleague, "Zartan", who is also an underground artist from Nola. I've known him for a while, but we only recently started making music together, and it's been fantastic. Every time we get in the studio, it's as if we have some sort of synergy with how we both rap that simply fits.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I envision myself running my own label and discovering artists from all around the country. I want to not only compose music and be heard by others, but I also want to give others the opportunity to be heard. There is just too much money and room at the top for us all to go hungry, in my opinion.

Q. What is one message you have for your fans and supporters?

A. Just because you believe no one is watching doesn't imply no one is. Don't give up on your dreams because they will all come true in the end.
