Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. Throughout my musical journey, I have been influenced by a diverse range of artists who have left a lasting impact on my creative process. In the early stages, figures like Nick Mira, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and Playboi Carti played a significant role in shaping my musical taste and style. Their unique approaches to music resonated with me and inspired me to explore new horizons. As I delved deeper into creating songs, Lil Peep emerged as a profound inspiration for me. His ability to convey raw emotions through his music struck a chord within me, and his influence continues to be a driving force in my own musical endeavors. Currently, as I focus on producing beats for platforms like YouTube, I draw inspiration from a variety of talented individuals. Artists like Sgpwes, Slump6s, Kankan, Xhulooo, and Pluggnb bring a distinctive flavor to their music, and their innovative sounds have a direct impact on my creative process. The combination of these various influences, spanning different genres and styles, has shaped my unique artistic perspective. They have helped me evolve as a musician and continuously push the boundaries of my creativity, allowing me to develop a sound that is truly my own.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Although I'm at the early stages of my musical career, I have experienced a few notable moments that have left a lasting impression on me. One particular highlight, albeit minor in the grand scheme, stands out vividly in my memory. It occurred when I was dining at a restaurant, and a stranger approached my table, recognizing me as EXgauge, the artist behind my music. The fact that someone recognized and acknowledged me in public was a thrilling and humbling experience that I will always cherish. In terms of financial success, I have earned a modest amount from selling my beats, totaling a few hundred dollars. While it may seem small compared to more substantial achievements, every step forward counts on this journey. These early milestones serve as a reminder that progress is being made and that my work is resonating with others. I carry these moments with me as a source of motivation and inspiration. They fuel my determination to continue honing my craft and pushing myself further. I am excited to see where this path leads and to create more significant highlights along the way.

A. When I envision myself five years from now, I anticipate significant growth and development in my music career. By that time, I envision my music channels experiencing notable expansion, reaching a wider audience and attracting more listeners who resonate with my sound. Furthermore, I anticipate a heightened level of maturity and evolution in my musical style and approach. As I continue to refine my craft, my sound will naturally progress, reflecting a deeper understanding of my artistic vision and personal growth as an individual. I will embrace new influences, experiment with different genres and sounds, and push the boundaries of my creativity to create a distinct and compelling musical identity. In this journey, I will also strive to collaborate with other talented artists and producers, forging meaningful partnerships that enhance my artistic growth and open doors to new opportunities. By surrounding myself with like-minded individuals and industry professionals, I will gain valuable insights, expand my knowledge, and further refine my skills.
