A. Music has been a part of my life since a very young age, starting around 6-7 years old when I would experiment with creating music on a launch pad, particularly in the EDM genre. As I grew older, I began to explore different artists and genres, and that's when I discovered X and Ski. Their unique flow and style intrigued me, and I found it incredibly enjoyable to freestyle and flow over beats in a similar manner. Every time I played a beat, I felt an overwhelming urge to express myself through my own lyrics and melodies. This inspired me to start songwriting and freestyling, honing my skills and finding my own voice in the world of music. When I turned 16, I decided to take my passion for music more seriously, and that's when I started creating and producing my own music. As I matured, I grew even more confident in my abilities, and at 17-18, I began releasing my music to the public, sharing my artistry and creativity with the world. It has been an exciting and transformative journey, and I'm looking forward to continuing to grow and evolve as a musician, and to connect with listeners through my music.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. Pierre Bourne has been a major influence on my music journey due to his impressive ability to handle various aspects of music independently. His talent and versatility have not received the recognition they deserve, which further inspires me to follow my own path and create unique music. I particularly enjoy rapping over his beats because they help me discover my flow and tap into my creative zone. His work motivates me to explore different styles and push the boundaries of my artistry. Pierre Bourne's influence has undoubtedly shaped my approach to music, and I strive to continue honing my skills while staying true to my own vision and sound.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Being from Houston, I had an exciting opportunity when Sauce Walka, a prominent rapper from my hometown, reached out to collaborate on a song. It was a surreal moment for me, as Sauce Walka is an established figure in the music scene, and getting the chance to work with him was a dream come true. Collaborating with a local icon not only allowed me to showcase my talent but also opened doors to new audiences and opportunities. This experience has been a significant milestone in my music career, and I am grateful for the support and recognition from a fellow artist in the Houston rap community. It has motivated me to continue pushing my boundaries and striving for greater heights in my musical journey.
