Q. Good day, BEVIxPlanett! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. During the entire quarantine period, I found myself listening to more and more music. Although I've always had a passion for both music and acting since my childhood, I realized that creating music would be much more feasible and accessible, especially considering the current state of the world. The circumstances of the pandemic made pursuing a music career seem like a more practical and fulfilling choice.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. If I had to choose my top two musical influences, they would definitely be The Kid LAROI and Freddie Mercury. Growing up, my mom would always play classic rock around the house, and among all the bands, Queen truly stood out to me. I was captivated by their sound, but what struck me the most was Freddie Mercury's presence. His immense confidence, his ability to mesmerize crowds, and his extraordinary voice left a profound impact on me. I admired how he carried himself and the way he fearlessly expressed himself through his music. As I entered my early middle school years, I started exploring different genres, including rap and its subgenres. It was during this time that I stumbled upon The Kid LAROI, and one of his tracks, "Diva" with Lil Tecca, immediately caught my attention. There was something unique and fresh about his music that resonated with me like no other. As I delved deeper into his discography, I found myself relating to his music on a personal level. His melodic abilities, which you might have noticed in some of my own music, struck a chord with me and became a significant influence on my own artistic style. These two artists, with their distinctive sounds and individual strengths, have played a crucial role in shaping my musical journey and inspiring me to push the boundaries of my creativity as an artist.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. I absolutely love this question. My most significant career highlight so far would undoubtedly be my first show, which might surprise you—it was actually a middle school talent show, hahaha! I remember arriving at the venue, rehearsing with my hype man (Shout out to Scotty), and looking out at the audience, which was packed with people excitedly discussing my performance. Seeing the support from the crowd was a bit of a relief, but when it was finally my turn to go on stage, something magical happened. The entire audience started chanting "Bevi! Bevi! Bevi!" It was an incredible moment, and I'll cherish it forever. Despite some technical issues with the microphone and audio levels, I decided to give it my all, dancing around the stage and putting on a show. Surprisingly, everyone seemed to love it, and that experience marked a turning point in my career. From that point on, things started to take off for me, and I'll forever be grateful for that opportunity and the support of the crowd that night. It was a small but pivotal moment that ignited my passion for performing and gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams as an artist.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In 5 years, I see myself fully immersed in my music career, doing it full-time and living out my passion. My realistic goals include achieving at least one platinum single, which would be a significant milestone for me. I also envision embarking on a tour across America, connecting with fans from different cities and sharing my music on a larger stage.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. To me, my fans hold immense significance, and I continuously strive to express my gratitude towards them. If I were to share one message with my fans, it would be this: "You're not just fans to me; you are my family, and I cherish each and every one of you with boundless love, now and forever." It is essential for me to emphasize the strong bond we share, transcending the typical fan-artist relationship, and nurturing a sense of unity and togetherness within our community.
