Q. Good day, 5 Star Genesis! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. It all began back in elementary school when I used to watch these YouTube videos called epic rap battles of history. I watched them so much that I memorized the verses. I started impressing my friends by reciting those verses word for word, and they encouraged me to start freestyling and battling other kids at school. Even though I wasn’t the best at first, I hated losing, so I dedicated my days to thinking of clever bars and writing them down, which eventually led me to start writing songs.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. As for my musical influences, some of the big names that have influenced me include Pro Era, Kendrick Lamar, Young Pappy, and Tyler the Creator.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. One of my most significant career highlights so far was when my song “Eye on You” reached 10k streams in just three weeks; that was pretty shocking.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. Looking ahead five years, I envision myself in a mansion down in the South, surrounded by my brothers, with a couple of cars, and an overall improved lifestyle.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. To all my fans and supporters, my message is simple: find your passion and stay consistent. If you’re truly passionate about something, you’ll find the motivation to pursue it, even on the tough days.
