Q. Good day, 4AMJAYY! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I delved into music at the age of 14 when a friend of mine inspired me to begin producing music alongside him, and over time, I also started rapping.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. my biggest musical influence would probably be my big brother. him showing me what good music is growing up has built my sound tremendously. but the artist that have influenced me the most would be, travis scott, don toliver, brent faiyaz, bryson tiller, bashfortheworld, forever ju (someone i’d consider a brother), future, lancey foux, kendrick, bnyx, and drake.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. The most significant highlight of my career has to be the moment when I received a message from a guy who was in the hospital. He told me that my music played a crucial role in giving him the strength to keep fighting his illness. Witnessing how my story and music could inspire someone and provide them with hope truly motivated me. It reinforced my belief that there's a purpose in what I have to say and share with the world.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I envision myself as one of the most prominent artist/producers in the music industry. My motivation doesn't solely revolve around fame or wealth, although success is welcome. My primary goal is to utilize my voice to enact positive change in the world. I aim to use my platform and name to spread the message of God's love and grace, as I believe in the impending return of Jesus Christ and want to ensure people understand His love before it's too late.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. A message I want to convey to my supporters is that God loves all of you. To everyone out there, I encourage you to trust in God's plan and live according to His will, not your own. It's easy to feel envy when you see others succeed before you, but I've learned that it simply wasn't my time back then. Trust in God's timing, your capabilities, and your dedication. Whatever you're striving for in life will come to fruition in God's perfect timing.
