Inteview With Musical Artist Bquyet: What’s Next for this Musical Prodigy?

Q. Good day, Bquyet! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. My musical journey began by watching my dad sing and play guitar. I always wondered why I couldn’t figure it out, but back then, I had rather plump fingers, okay? He’s been my inspiration for as long as I can remember, and he still is! Shout out to my mom too – we used to jam in the car a lot while I was growing up, haha. Additionally, I have a background in the band and played all three saxophones. I took a lot of inspiration from my uncle Steve, who initially taught me how to play the saxophone.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My musical influences tend to change frequently, sometimes daily. I consistently find myself drawn to the likes of Sublime and ’90s rock. The grunge sound of that era really resonates with me in the moment and fills me with a sense of nostalgia.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. This year, I had the privilege of performing at Restless Fest alongside other artists like Jehleel, Brennan Savage, dc the don, nascar aloe, and more. It was an amazing experience, transitioning from being a super fan of these artists to sharing the stage with them. I’m eagerly anticipating the tour announcement for 2024, so stay tuned for that

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. While I’d love to envision myself living the rich and famous life, to be honest, I think I’ll be wherever life takes me. I’m all about embracing life and its experiences. Music will always be a significant part of it, but I don’t want to miss out on the other wonders life has in store. We’ll just have to stick around and see.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. Always trust your instincts, even when it seems like no one else does. Follow your passions, live life to the fullest, and spread happiness to others. Love and joy are what it’s all about. Oh, and as they say, “Work hard, play hard.” I love you all.
