A. My journey into making music started after the tragic loss of my mom and our subsequent relocation. Taken in by our family, my grandfather, a bluesman, and my uncle, who introduced us to hip-hop, played a pivotal role in inspiring me to pursue music.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My musical influences range from Blondie and British punk to blues, Japanese hip-hop, UK drill, and grime. I’m drawn to anything outside the mainstream trends, especially obscure sounds.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My most significant career moment was receiving advice from legends and varsity Hall of Fame acts. It’s a highlight when your impact speaks for itself, and others recognize and speak about you in front of the masses.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. A. I take it one day at a time, leaving the future to the higher power I serve.
