Interview With Shay T: Artistic Vision: Visual Elements in His Music

Q. Good day, Shay T We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A.  Getting into music was almost destined for me. Growing up, I knew I’d be involved in something creative, influenced by my dad’s side of the family, where everyone is into music. It became clear in 8th grade when my friend Angel introduced me to FL Studio – that’s where my musical journey truly began.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Kanye West is my absolute top influence, motivating me to be a producer, engineer, and artist. Secondly, Juice WRLD’s vulnerability and unmatched work ethic inspire me. His impact in such a short time is another reason he’s a significant influence on my craft.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. Surprisingly, it’s not just about the stats, although having songs with hundreds of thousands of plays is cool. My most significant highlights are the lifelong relationships I’ve built along this journey.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. Predicting where I’ll be in 5 years is challenging; life’s so unpredictable. Reflecting on the past five years, I never imagined being where I am now. Each day is a blessing. Currently, the label is in the works, and I have several projects lined up. I aim to seize these opportunities to unlock more doors for the future.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. My message, even though it might sound cliché, is to stay true to yourself. If you ever contemplate quitting, don’t, regardless of what others may say.
