Interview With Matthew Tyler: The Energetic Tune Capturing New Fans

Q. Good day, Matthew TylerWe appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I've been drawn to making music since I was young. At the age of 5, while my kindergarten classmates aspired to be police officers or astronauts, I distinctly expressed my dream of becoming a rockstar. That desire has simply stayed with me throughout the years.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. I draw inspiration from a diverse range of artists. Kendrick Lamar tops my list for his unique perspective, while Drake's constant success and versatility impress me. XXXTENTACION holds a special place for the impact he had on many, and I also look up to legends like Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Tyler The Creator, Kanye, and J Cole. Growing up with Rock and Gospel music, my tastes evolved, and I fell in love with Rap and R&B. Lately, artists like Playboy Carti, Ken Carson, Mike Dimes, and ThatMexicanOT have caught my attention, with a special shoutout to ThatMexicanOT for representing H-Town.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My most significant career highlight would be more behind the scenes – it's about my personal growth and persistence. I took a whole year off from releasing music to focus on refining my craft and discovering my unique sound. I succeeded in that endeavor, and looking back, I'm incredibly proud of how far I've come.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I envision my music playing through your car speakers, with at least two studio albums under my belt. My goals include taking care of my family and fans, and if I'm fortunate, perhaps even earning a Grammy.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. To my fans and supporters, I'd say: Embrace your true self and revel in it. The most effective way to stand out is by demonstrating why and how you're different from the rest.
