Q. Good day, Wun Keiz! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. My journey into music began with my older family members constantly playing albums like 50 Cent’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” and a variety of other genres.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My biggest musical influence is my father. We collaborated on my first rap verse when I was just thirteen, and I’ve been hooked on music ever since.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. One of the most significant highlights of my music career was being part of Rolling Loud in Miami. It gave me the opportunity to meet numerous established and emerging artists in the industry, promote my brand, and even pick the musical brain of Wale. I also shared the stage with Brooklyn artist Sleepy Hallow and had the chance to observe how Drummer Boy operates in the studio, learning more about his music-making process and brand.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I envision myself headlining music festivals and expanding my presence internationally, traveling abroad to reach audiences beyond the U.S.
Q. What is one message you have for your fans and supporters?
A. To my fans and supporters of Wun Keiz, I promise to remain unpredictable yet relatable in my music. My unwavering love for the culture will always shine through in my work.
