Interview with B-nod: From Car Freestyles to Music Stardom

Q. Good day,
B-nod! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. I got into music because I’ve loved it since I was a child. As I got older, my friends and I used to freestyle in my homie’s car after hotboxing, just turning on instrumentals and freestyling from the dome. Initially, I didn’t want to rap because everyone was doing it, and I hate doing what everyone else is doing. But I realized I was just too good at it. People around me kept telling me how good I was at rapping off the top of my head, so I decided to take it seriously.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My musical influences are Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Gucci Mane. Growing up in Chicago, these three artists were huge in my come-up and influenced my style and how I approach music. They were my blueprint.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight might be my recent collaboration with a well-known artist from my city, Lil Zay Osama, on “Let’s Get Rich,” which is available on all platforms.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I see myself still making music at the highest level, possibly writing for other artists, and diving into fashion with my own clothing brands. I also plan to write scripts for movies and shows.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. To my fans and supporters: never give up on your dreams and goals. Have tunnel vision to block out the outside noise and hate because people will tell you something is impossible just because they can’t do it. I’m extremely thankful for all my supporters, everyone who ever clicked play on my music or videos, and for believing in me.
