Interview With Rising Talent MONNROE: Reflecting on Childhood Inspiration to Musical Passion

Q. Good day,

MONNROE! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. The first time a song gave me goosebumps was in church. Growing up, I was surrounded by talented musicians and vocalists. I wanted to give people the same joy that music gave me. It’s an undeniable source of happiness, and I wanted to be a part of that.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. As a child, I watched many movies with my mom, like “The Temptations,” “Why Do Fools Fall in Love,” and “The Jackson 5: The American Dream.” Icons like Ray Charles and Little Richard left a lasting impression on me with their stage presence and timeless music. These days, I’m inspired by artists like Chris Brown, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, Eric Bellinger, and The Weeknd. Their music motivates me to write great songs.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. Releasing my first project was definitely a highlight. It represented years of my life, thousands of emotions, and countless hours of work. I’m proud to share it with the world.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. There are many goals I hope to achieve in the near future, but I can’t quite picture where exactly I’ll be in five years. What I do know is that I’ll be in a better place than I am today.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. Thank you for making me a part of your day. I deeply appreciate all the listens and love. My hope is that what I create brings light into your lives.
