Q. Good day, Roach! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?
A. I decided to give music a shot and see where it took me. It’s always been something I enjoy. I started making my own beats back in high school, but I had already started writing stuff back in middle school.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. When it comes to music influences, I look up to Future for certain beats that catch my attention, Black Smurf for his lyrics, and SPM for the inspiration behind some of my own. I also draw vibes from Dallas artists like Phee6z, Gwapmizzle, and Gwap Lord D.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. So far, my music journey hasn’t been extensive, aside from a single performance at an open mic where I received a lot of praise. My plan is to do more shows, invest more in my music career, and spend more time in the studio.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I envision myself growing significantly in the music industry, establishing a solid foundation for my career, and performing more shows. I also hope to start traveling out of state for performances in the near future.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. My advice to myself and others is to stay true to yourself, hustle every day as if there’s no tomorrow, and stay focused on your goals. It’s not about what you can attract but about what you can do to achieve your dreams.
