Interview With JayKay: A Glimpse into a Brilliant Future in Music

Q. Good day, JayKay! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life. My family has always been into music and playing instruments, so it was only natural for me to develop an interest in it too. I fell in love with rap and R&B early on, and I’ve been rapping since I was 12. Every day, I work on perfecting my craft, aiming to reach a point where I can have an influence. My goal is to use my platform to inspire others and help people who are going through the same struggles I faced as a kid.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My musical influences are pretty broad. While I don’t have any specific ones, I’m definitely inspired by artists like Izaya Tiji, Tory Lanez, and J. Cole. I find inspiration daily from the music I listen to. I admire Izaya Tiji and Tory Lanez for their versatility and unique sound, while J. Cole inspires me with his messages and work ethic. One of the biggest highlights of my career so far has been building a community of artists, which I call Zensai. It’s amazing to see the artists connect, network, and grow together.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. One of the biggest highlights of my career so far has been building a community of artists called Zensai. It’s been amazing to watch the artists connect, network, and grow together.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I see myself at a higher level, using my platform and voice to inspire young people and those going through tough times. I want to be living comfortably and be in a position where I can help support my family.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. My message to my fans and supporters is to always push yourself toward your goals, no matter what others might say. You have the power to shape your own future, and the effort you put in will eventually pay off—just stay patient.
