An Interview with Regg2cutt: A Vision for Music That Is Blurring Boundaries and Breaking Barriers

Q. Good day, Regg2cutt!
We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I’ve been rapping since 8th grade. It all started when we used to do rap battles at school lunches, and the rhymes just came easy for me. I grew to love it and turned it into something I can call my own.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Now, lyrically, I aspire to be more like Lil Baby, Lil Boat, and BabyTron. The way these rappers match their tone and flow to the beat makes me yearn for that skill. Also, the versatility it takes to rap on beats that you hear BabyCheef and glokk40 rap on is insane sometimes.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My shows in Charlotte, NC. So many people came to see the new talent in the city, and it was a great chance for me to get exposure in my hometown and Charlotte.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In college, working on my career. After I get my s*** situated, I will commit back to my dreams of being a relevant rap artist. Right now, I’m just gaining as much exposure as possible.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters.

A. I love all the support I’m already getting. Never gonna stop that grind, so stay tuned.
