Q. Good day, M$K Zel! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. Honestly speaking, I’ve always been a music junkie, but I always told myself that if I ever started making music, I wanted my sound to be versatile. One of my close friends convinced me to write a song one day, and within a couple of hours, we were in the studio recording. It was up from there.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My personal musical influences are Future, Gunna, Derez De’Shon, PnB Rock, Tory Lanez, and MO3. They are melodic and very diverse in their craft. I listen to these artists daily, and they help me understand structure and the overall concept of gravitational sound.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. I’ve been on my music journey for about two years now, and my biggest career highlight would probably be going on a seven-show tour in Florida—completely solo—rocking venues and branding myself for two weeks, driving 17 hours from Texas. Coming back home, I funded and shot the video for my first legit single, “RACKS,” along with three more since then, all surpassing 5K views on YouTube.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I see myself as a solidified artist in the industry, with major collaborations and multiple plaques for gold and platinum records or albums.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. To all of my fans and supporters—I appreciate every single one of y’all. I honestly couldn’t thank my fan base enough. We’re keeping this journey alive, so get used to this face! M$K TAKEOVER!.
