Interview With Sionis: Why Everyone’s Talking About Him

Q. Good day,
Sionis! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how did you get into making music?

A. I’ve been into singing and making music since I was a Jit. It’s the only thing that makes me feel like I got any individuality. The first time I had ever recorded a song, I was like 18, using a USB mic.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Well, the Orishas are my biggest influence. I grew up listening to bands like Sum 41, Flyleaf, The Word Alive, etc. Recently, I’ve been bumpin’ CEO Trayle and JB Binladen heavyyyy.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. So far, it was getting to be friends with Jay Storm. We don’t talk no more, but he’s a goat in Charlotte, and I got a lot of respect for gang. I used to look up to the mf when I first got into singing. It’s wild how shit goes, and I’m not even famous yet.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. Where do I see myself? I’ll just let my actions speak for themselves. Ask me again in 5 years if things are the way I expected.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters.

A. Thank you for supporting me. Any artist can’t exist without people supporting them. And also, look up the Gateway Process. I just gave y’all the cheat codes to life.
