Q. Good day, Yvng Dee! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I started making music for fun back in 2016. It started as a hobby, but I found a love for it quickly. It was a way for me to express myself and relate to other people. The impact music has made on my life is part of what makes me who I am.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. One of my musical influences is my grandma, who passed away. Music was a way to cope with that—she was always my biggest supporter. Another big influence on my music is the support from my fans, friends, and family—the way they can relate to my music or simply enjoy it.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. I would have to say that reaching over 250,000 streams independently is my best career highlight. Going from barely doing 5,000 to that all on my own is major to me.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I see myself making dreams come true. I plan to let the world hear my talent through my music and become a mainstream artist.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters.
A. One message: It can take one person, one song, one video, or one post to change your life forever. Never stop investing in and believing in yourself—you never see the footwork until you credit yourself.
