A Conversation with JungleBaby: The Key to His Evolution as an Artist

Q. Good day,
JungleBaby! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. I’ve been around music since I was young. My dad and cousins were artists who made a name for themselves in the city. Watching them in the studio and seeing the impact they had on the community motivated me to follow the same path.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My influences include Lil Wayne, Rylo, Nocap, Young Thug, and Lil Baby. Lil Wayne was one of the first artists I got into when I got my first MP3 player. I had his songs downloaded and his punchlines, metaphors, delivery, and style really resonated with me. Rylo and Nocap inspired me by showing me that people from small towns in Alabama can make it in the music industry. While there were other Alabama artists who paved the way, like Doe B, Rylo and Nocap really left an impact on me. Young Thug and Lil Baby inspired me with their approach to business, signing artists, and building their own empires. That’s something I also plan to do in the future.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. The highlight of my career so far was performing at a frat party in Auburn, Alabama, alongside NLE Choppa. The energy in the crowd was unreal. When the DJ called my name to get on stage, the crowd began chanting my name, “Jungle, Jungle, Jungle.” It was an unforgettable experience.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I envision myself as an A-list artist, consistently charting on Billboard with every new release. I’ll own multiple properties and assets, run my own record label, and have opportunities in TV and film.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. Keep an eye out for new music and videos. I’ve got some exciting things on the way. My album “The Wildlife” is coming soon, along with a new single, “Hole N One.” Stay tuned for more.
