An Interview With Bill Vibez: How He’s Building a Legacy in the Music Industry

Q. Good day,
Bill Vibez! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. I got into making music when I was in 12th grade through a friend of mine who was a producer and artist at the time. I would get out of school to go over there and show my graphics to him because I was into graphic designing before music. It just so happened he kept egging me on and provoking me to hop on a song. It was that one day where I lost feeling for an ex of mine and said forget it, I’m hopping on this track. I brought it to school and, since then, it’s been up. Shout out to ChaeItsOver and Don Centra for being in my corner since day one.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Some of my musical influences came from G Herbo, XXXTentacion, and just recently I’ve been into that Jersey sound. I grew up listening to G Herbo and Chicago rappers since I was in 5th grade. Swerve always had me in a chokehold with how raw and uncut his lyrics are. I feel the pain in his voice. As for XXXTentacion, he not only made an impact on my music career but also the way I perceive things in life. His connection with the fans was something special. I genuinely think he would be one of the greatest artists alive right now if we hadn’t lost him. Rest his soul. Jersey beats and the sound lately have been influencing me to have fun with music. The instruments and chords I hear in those beats really speak to me. Shout out Jersey.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight as of now was the release of a remix track. I dropped a remix on SoundCloud to Tay K’s “ILuvMyChoppa.” It got to a point where everybody thought I owned that beat, and I’ve accumulated over 50k streams on that one song. That was before I knew how to make money off my music. That was what solidified me as an artist to this day.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. 5 years from now? Hmmmm. I see myself being able to do something I love and make money from it. Being able to financially provide for my kids all through the power of music. I lost 16 close friends growing up, and I feel as if my story needs to be heard. Everything I speak on in my music is authentic. I want my fans to truly understand where I’m coming from and be able to relate to genuine scenarios.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. One message I have for my fans and supporters: For the people who’ve stuck with me this long, I really appreciate it, and I have so much in store for you guys. I can’t wait. Continue to stream “Dreams To Reality,” and let’s continue to stay positive and go up! For every fan that reads this, you don’t know how much I truly appreciate you. Thank you guys, honestly.
