A Conversation with Princ3 Jok3r: The Rising Musician Infusing New Energy into the Scene

Q. Good day,
Princ3 Jok3r! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I got into making music by using music as a
coping skill for my aggression, then found out I have a talent and passion for creating hip hop music.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My influences range from the legendary Tupac to the likes of the $uicideboy$, and go even deeper than that. I am inspired by a lot of artists that have unfortunately passed away like XXXTENTACION, Young Dolph, and Nipsey Hussle. But I aim to sound unique and set myself apart from the rest. They are my influences/inspiration because they all had a unique sound as well and wanted to change the world for the better by being inspirational and creating movements across the world. In my opinion, most artists are just tryna copy one another. That sh*t dumb as f**k. Y’all won’t ever see or hear me copy another artist on anything, whether it be flow, bars, or whatever.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight would have to be performing at the Monarch Theatre in downtown PHX a couple times. And I will be performing there again on July 12th in a couple months. I’ve also done over 30 performances, and I aim to increase that number every month and every year.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In five years, I should be making enough off my music to not have to work a full-time job, ‘cause that’s draining as f**k. But I wanna go on tour and make a few albums and create cinematic content such as music videos and movies for my songs. Definitely need that Lambo and a nice ass house—probably not a mansion yet, but imma keep working towards it. I’ll definitely be married to my girlfriend I’m currently with and hopefully be reunited with my sons, who will be almost teenagers by that time, besides my third-born son who will be 5 years old, just a toddler. But one of them will be my prodigy, I hope.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. One message I have for my fans/supporters is thank you for being a part of my journey. I know I lack public exposure, but I’m aiming to change that by going out and attending more events to network more with fellow artists with a similar vision. But also gotta tell y’all that this s**t don’t happen overnight. You gotta grind and grind and be hella consistent to really get where you wanna go in dis game. If you can’t commit, then you might as well quit. But also, no matter what anyone tells you, don’t ever give up on your dreams or your goals. Always persevere.
