Turning Deep Feelings Into Relatable Music: An Interview With WizApo

Q. Good day, WizApo!
We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

A. I would describe my sound to someone who’s never heard my music before as emotional, unique, and electric. With raw words and the right pitch, I tend to express my deepest feelings in my songs, which makes them touching and relatable to the audience.

Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?

A. I have several tracks currently out that I feel define who I am as an artist.  track in my catalog, like “My Story,” tells or describes me as an individual, whereas “Worth It” describes my writing skills and delivery, which contribute to describing me as an artist.

Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A. Thinking of collaboration, I would go for Rod Wave because he delivers deep lyrics and has a captivating voice, which I really admire. Business-wise, I believe we could put out a project or a tape that could change the world. On the other hand, I would like to collaborate with Black Sherif from my country, Ghana. He is similar to Rod, and I admire them both as a fan.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

A. The biggest risk I have taken so far in my career is not accepting to change my style when I have been told many times to. And I have learned to always be myself and to prove myself right, which actually drives me to always work harder and improve.

Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?

A. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to my music, I would like them to know that I appreciate their time, and I’m looking forward to having them as fans because I know they’re going to like my work.
