Q. Good day, Felony Rio! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

A. I would describe my sound to someone who’s never heard my music before as sounding like a mixture of several different artists: Method Man, Jadakiss, Cassidy, Lil Wayne, and Fabolous.

Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?

A. I do have a song in my catalog that I feel represents who I am as an artist more than anything else, but I haven’t released it yet.

Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A. I would love to work with Ed Sheeran. I feel like my catalog needs something heartfelt of some sort. And as far as a deceased artist. It would be Whitney Houston. I just love a woman who can sing, and she was one of those ones.

Q. What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

A. The biggest risk I've taken was me traveling state to state to build my career, and what I learned from it is if you don’t have a steady hustle, you’ll always be right back at square one, no matter how far you think you've gotten.

Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?

A. If this was the last thing someone had read before listening to my music, I want the person reading to know you should never be afraid to stand up for yourself. Take risks, don’t be afraid to be yourself, and explore opportunities. Chances make champions. Go see how great you really are.
