A. I developed a passion for music at a young age, thanks to my mother who frequently played rap music at home. Additionally, I had been involved in hip-hop dancing since I was born, and I would often try to create songs with my cousins. It felt like music was ingrained in my very being. However, it wasn't until 2017 that I began to take it seriously. This shift happened when I crossed paths with like-minded individuals named Divi Gz and Moneychief. They played a crucial role in encouraging me to delve into freestyling and become part of the music scene. Their support and influence propelled me forward, igniting a newfound dedication to my musical journey.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. When it comes to my musical influences, I draw inspiration from the entirety of hip-hop culture. I can't single out a favorite rapper because I genuinely appreciate the entire spectrum of hip-hop music. However, if I had to name a few individuals who have had a significant impact on me, I would mention Kanye West, Michael Jackson, The Notorious B.I.G., Playboi Carti, and Joey Bada$$. Each of these artists has contributed to shaping my musical taste and style. Their unique sounds and artistic expressions have resonated with me, influencing my own approach to music.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Thus far, my most significant career highlight has been representing New York and having the opportunity to perform at a show in Las Vegas. It was a thrilling experience to bring my music to a different city and showcase my talent on a stage that holds its own legendary status. The chance to connect with a new audience and share my passion for music in such an iconic location was truly a momentous achievement in my career. It solidified my belief in my abilities and served as a stepping stone towards further success in the music industry.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I envision myself being signed to a music label, with several successful releases under my belt. I aspire to secure endorsement deals, partnering with reputable brands that align with my artistic vision. Performing shows will remain a significant part of my career, and I hope to continue captivating audiences with my music and stage presence. Moreover, I have a strong desire to become an influential figure for the next generation of artists, inspiring and guiding them on their own creative journeys.
