
Q. Good day, King K! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. My journey into music began when I first learned to read. I used to experiment with rhyming words in sentences, and then, during car rides with my mom, I started listening to gospel music. Writing and freestyling became a part of my life around the age of 12, and I began taking it seriously at 16.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. I have a deep appreciation for artists like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Common, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest, Eminem, and I’m also drawn to rap instrumentals because, in my eyes, they all possess a timeless quality. I’ve always envisioned myself as a dominant figure in the world of music, much like these
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. One of the proudest moments in my career has to be the release of my album “Empty Crown.” Additionally, I had the privilege of creating a music video for the standout track “SoufSide Grillz,” which you can find on YouTube. The video was expertly shot and edited by Criiipa Cognito.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. Looking ahead five years from now, I envision myself living my best life, constantly on the move from one state to another, and leaving a positive impact on the people I encounter wherever I go.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. A message I'd like to share with my fans and supporters is that while some may live better than me and others may live worse, we are all fundamentally the same.
