Q. Good day, Tino! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?
A. I was recruited to play college ball, but I broke my ankle before training camp, so I couldn’t play. With nothing else to do, I downloaded FL Studio one day and started making tracks. Now, two years later, I’m still at it.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My musical influences are definitely my older brother, who I grew up watching make music, and Chief Keef, who was my first favorite rapper. Those are my top two all-time.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My biggest career highlight so far has been releasing my two return tracks, “Workin on Me” and “Virgil Steppin.” Those tracks helped me get noticed and made people start seeing my vision.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I see myself rocking out on stages, selling out venues, and taking care of my family.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. Don’t let others’ opinions affect your grind. They don’t have to live with the choices you make every day, so make sure whatever you’re doing is what you want, not what someone else wants.
