Q. Good day, XL STEPPA! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?
A. I got into making music because it helped me expand my mind, and it was a safe, easy way to pass the time. I ended up being pretty good at it too.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My music influences are mostly Texas-based rappers like Splurge, Quin NFN, Lil 2z, and BigX. They take pride in being from Texas, and I share that pride by representing my state too. Each of them has a unique style of rapping, but they all flow over similar beats.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. The biggest highlight of my career so far has to be when I released my number one song, "CBB." It definitely made some waves.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In 5 years, I hope to either be signed to a major label or co-signed by a big name like BigX or Quin NFN.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. If I had to tell my fans or supporters anything, it would be that we made it from recording in a closet with just a pair of headphones to where we are now. I would’ve quit a long time ago if I wasn’t doing numbers. I’m gonna keep dropping music as long as they keep streaming.
