Q. Good day, NLC Famous Ish! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I got into music through my love of freestyling with my older brother and homies. One day, I was recording at my homie’s crib back in Roselle. But when I moved to South Jersey, in Williamstown, I started taking music more seriously and bought all my music equipment and FL Studio with my unemployment checks.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My music influences are Kanye West, XXXTentacion, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Cam’ron, The Notorious B.I.G., T.I., Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jeff Buckley, Korn, Deftones, Incubus, Chevelle, Linkin Park, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Capital Steez, Joey Bada$$, Gorillaz, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Dru Hill, and SWV. They are my influences because, when I was a child, my parents and uncles—especially my mom—would play different genres of music around me. As I got older, I broadened my musical diversity even more, especially with rap, rock, and R&B.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My biggest career highlight would be finishing and dropping my recent mixtape, Suckafree 4 Da Moneytree, on all platforms. I set an end goal for myself that I wanted to achieve, and I managed to accomplish it.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In five years, I see myself becoming more well-known in the music industry and performing in bigger and better venues than I ever imagined. I also plan to start and own my own record label, live the successful artist dream, and be a major influence on the future generation of artists, both during my time and after.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters.
A. One message I have for my fans and supporters is to stay consistent and be humble in anything you love, whether you become successful from it or not. Time will tell if you are truly capable of seizing the world you want, as reflected in your future endeavors and the people you inspire.
