Q. Good day, Austin Arndt! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I got into making music by free-styling for fun as part of a group, Big Tone and Whiteboy Slimm, with my best friend Tony Maciel, aka Tone The Melodic Monster. I used music as an outlet to stay out of trouble and off drugs, as I previously struggled with drug use and mental illness.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My Musical influences are Jelly Roll, due to his therapeutic style of music and relatable content that resonates with my lifestyle. Ice Cube, because of his legendary writing skills and flow, as a pinnacle of the West Coast rap scene.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. I’ve charted twice on iTunes and continue to be a strong, sober role model for my fans and my son.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. I see myself shining with consistency in music and sobriety, growing further every day.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. Be yourself, strive for better, and never accept “you’re not good enough” as an answer.
