Q. Good day, Richie Rell! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I got into music because I saw how my homie MacMillie used to put words and expressions together to make that stuff look and sound cool. Plus, I wanted to express my feelings and emotions through music.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. One of my biggest influences was Hov, only because when he came into the game, he changed the way rap was done. He put the struggles into music but made it sound cool, even though it was real-life situations.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My biggest highlight was working with Cash Money Records and meeting Lil Wayne.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In the next five years, I can see myself having my own record label up and running with a few artists under my wing.
Q. What is one message you have for your fans and supporters?
A. Message to all fans and supporters: no matter what your dream or passion is, don’t ever give up on it. Even when life gets tough, don’t ever stop dreaming.
