Q. Good day, Jubabiii! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I got into the music scene when I was young, probably about 13–14. I used to record freestyles in the car or on my block and post them on my Twitter page, but I never really took it seriously until I started getting real traction.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. Some of my biggest influences in the game are G Herbo, Lil Durk, and my big brother. My brother was the one who actually got me into rapping. I used to just play the background and let him shine, but he pushed me to take the music head-on.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. One of the biggest highlights in my career thus far has been getting recognized by big-name artists and industry executives like G Herbo, 4PF Poppy from Lil Baby’s team, and the actual 4PF label.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In 5 years, I see myself at a level where I’m known across the entire world. My family is known, my friends are known, etc. This isn’t just about me—I want to put people in positions to help their families and their friends. There’s enough room for everybody to eat.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. To my fans and supporters, first and foremost, thank you for sticking with me this far. The route to success isn’t easy, but staying consistent is the name of the game. You can do anything you put your mind to as long as you put in the work. Not everybody is going to love what you do, but not everybody is you—so love what you do, and make sure you keep Allah first in everything you do.
