A Madd Manson Interview: The Rising Star Whose Sound Says It All

Q. Good day,

Madd Manson! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

I started doing music when I was 10. I first started making beats. Then I started writing lyrics at 12. I never really took it seriously until I turned 16, and by the time I turned 19, I was a full-blown artist signed to an independent record label out of Atlanta.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why
?

A. I’m influenced by Lil Wayne. I used to be influenced by other artists, but I stopped listening to a lot of other artists for the simple fact that I couldn’t find my sound listening to different styles. So I stopped and started getting influenced by the artists I surround myself with. But my biggest influence in music is Madd Manson.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight has been modeling for clothing lines like Robins Jean, Puma, Adidas, Von Dutch, and a lot of streetwear lines. The modeling industry is what really kicked off my fanbase for my music, but fashion is another love of mine. My first modeling gig was with Robins Jean—my first time being in LA. I was there for only two weeks before I got the gig.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In the next five years, I see myself being an even richer villain, with plaques, still in the studio every day, modeling for even more well-known clothing brands—really just living life to the fullest, catching everything life wants to throw at me.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. The message I have for my fans and supporters might sound cliché, but don’t give up on the things you want to do in life. Can’t and won’t nobody go after your dreams for you, because no one believes in them as much as you do. So push yourself to complete the mission you set out for yourself.
