An Emerging Voice in Independent Music: An Interview With LUVYUNO!

Q. Good day, LUVYUNO!
We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I got into music by seeing artists like City Morgue, XXXTentacion, Scarlxrd, and Slutty Sonny. I acknowledge the spark they ignited in my music journey.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight so far would be when the video of me performing in my old high school’s bathroom went viral on my local news page (dmvhoodzandnews). The bathroom had like 50 people in it, and the school admins could barely get in, which was funny to see on video. I did the same thing for my senior prank, but I performed with my close friend, synnforever, who I also make music with, and our other friend Amir.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In 5 years, I see myself in the Navy while also doing music on the side. Unless music takes off, that’s the plan. Blowing up isn’t really a priority for me, which definitely sounds conceited. But in actuality, I do music as a hobby, so with or without the fame, I’ll still do what I love.

A. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. One message I have for my fans and supporters is: don’t be afraid to chase your dream—no matter how difficult it seems, or how many people tell you that you’ll never be able to achieve greatness.
