An Exclusive Interview With Moses Pierre: Beyond the Booth

Q. Good day,
Moses Pierre! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. Music always spoke differently to me. It wasn’t until the SoundCloud era, showing how easy it was to put out music, that the friends around me at the time influenced me to freestyle. We’d rap battle, make corny diss songs back and forth. We influenced each other.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Well, I’m barely moved by this generation’s talent, but for my music influences, Michael Jackson—not only was he the King of Pop, he was basically the king of American music by the end of his life. I grew up in the Lil Wayne era, so Drake, Wiz Khalifa, T-Pain. Growing up in Palm Beach, artists like 1900rugrat, Ghostglxks, Rickfromthecreek, G.J.B, and Zay also inspired me. Coming up, just sitting around freestyling and watching the work prove success.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight so far was releasing my first few EPs back in 2024 and opening for artists like Molly Santana, Wifisfuneral, and LazerDim, and networking and creating genuine relationships with artists I enjoy.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In the next five years, I see myself a little more secure in life. I see my friends and family having it at least a little easier, not having to go through the things I do now. Everyone’s life on track to success.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. One message I have for my fans and supporters is to heal, find purpose, and peace with that. The fact that we wake up and continue—our faith is tested, but we work hard and rise up. Find something in this world to believe in or fight for, and give your life to it.
