Q. Good day, Truly Drakø! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. Back in 2017–2020, I was managing a friend who’s no longer in my circle. I wanted to give the best advice possible, so I decided to learn every part of the process — even down to recording — so I could speak with meaning and intent.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My top 3 music influences for sure are Young Thug (Slime), Future, and Lil Wayne. But I can’t leave out Lil Uzi, Trippie Redd, and Playboi Carti — they’ve all shaped my sound in major ways. And old Lil Wayne? Forever a big influence.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My biggest career moment so far has definitely been dropping the collab tape “Bleed The 5cene” with Hendrix — ATL Jacob’s blood brother. It dropped at the end of February and did really well. Our track “Anemic Demon” even landed on an Apple Music playlist, which helped get me heard by new ears.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In the next five years, I see myself with 2–3 breakthrough songs under my belt. I already have them — just gotta roll them out the right way at the right time.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. A message I have to my fans and supporters is: In Klan we trust. Ain’t no limit to what we do — on 4œ, on wøp, on kap.
