Turning Life Struggles Into Powerful Storytelling: An Interview With RPno10s

Q. Good day,
RPno10s! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

A. My sound, I would say, is authentic and relatable because I speak on real-life events that happened. I don’t make a lot of party music—I make pain music. I like to help the listener paint a picture so they can get a glimpse of my world.

Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?

A. I have a project or two that would define me. They’re called “Until We Meet Again” and “Who Is RP.” I chose those two because they represent a crucial part of my life and shaped me into who I am today. Check them out.

Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A. I would say 2Pac for deceased, and Lil Wayne for living. Both were inspirational for me while growing up—from their work ethic to the drive in their music.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

A. The biggest risk I’ve taken is trying to get out of my comfort zone—in all aspects, from how I record to being more confident shooting videos, etc. I learned that being different may be difficult, but it also makes you stand out.
