Q. Good day, Babystrikerr! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
A. I would describe my music to someone who’s never heard it before as having different flows, but I am very heavy on melodic.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
A. If I could collaborate with any artist right now, I would pick NBA YoungBoy because growing up I listened to him a lot, and honestly, I never really thought I would be rapping. His music really inspired me to start rapping.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. When it comes to the biggest risk I’ve taken in my career, I wouldn’t normally call this a risk, but I will because it’s something I don’t usually do. I texted big rappers, not knowing if they would respond, and I asked for a feature. I got one — though of course I had to pay. That really meant something to me because I didn’t think they would respond at all. In this music, you have to be willing to take risks.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to my music, I’d want them to know I just started rapping a year ago. Every song I’ve dropped, or any snippet I’ve shared, was completely free-styled. I haven’t written a single song yet — but I might actually try writing now.
