Q. Good day, Trxpsum E! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
A. The way I would describe my music to somebody who has never heard it would be that I have raw, punchy lyrics. I would say that my music has an upbeat vibe, and it just makes you feel good in general. I have a diverse catalog.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?
A. I would have to say my song called “VIBBIN” most definitely. There’s way more, but this one hits different every time. I picked this song because it was the first-ever song I dropped when my brother passed. It was the song that got me started. On my recent project (M.U.L.A), I dropped a remix of this song with my good friend Kid Chao$.
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
A. An artist I would want to collaborate with would be Tupac. I say this because there are times when I listen to his music and I wonder how we would sound bar for bar, going back and forth on a track.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. The biggest risk I took in my career was getting on stage for the first time. I was nervous, don’t get me wrong, but when I got off, I did not want to stop. Being on stage gives me goosebumps every time. Each time I perform, I learn something new. Each time I learn that it is okay to make mistakes—just be you and have fun.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. I would want them to know that no matter what you go through in life, God will be there for you. Always put God first, pray, keep your head up, and be thankful for the small things. Cherish your family and close ones always. Life is unexpected, so live it to the fullest with no regrets. Shoot for the stars, don’t look back and God bless.
