Q. Good day, lil kj 27! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
A. My sound is kind of like that peak 2016–19 vibes stuff that sometimes you just gotta roll up a spliff, kick back, and enjoy.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?
A. I feel like, as of right now, my single “Lucid” best represents me as an artist and the type of music I make because of how it sounds and the topics I speak about in it.
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
A. If I could collab with anyone, it would definitely be XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD because they are huge inspirations on who I am today.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. I’d want them to know that this is the music I make—the music I’m proud of—and I hope they enjoy it to the fullest.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. The biggest risk I’ve taken so far in my career would have to be traveling to Calgary for the first time with the other 4TA members to collaborate and connect with local Calgary musicians.
