Q. Good day, Preeshaalways! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
A. I would describe my sound as refreshing. My sound is bright; it comes with bounce and raw emotion—something that, if you just listen to it, you could definitely relate to something I’m saying.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?
A. A specific song in my catalog that could really define me or rip with one listen would be my song “Prior.”
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be?
A. It would be Young Thug; he’s been a heavy inspiration to me musically. His structure is unmatchable by anyone. Summrs as well—they both have had a major impact on me musically.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. The biggest risk I’ve taken was building an at-home studio. The things I’ve learned from that are how to mix, structure your songs, create layouts, and manage everything that corresponds to your DAW of choice. Major knowledge about music. It’s way deeper than just rapping.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. I would want them to know that I put my all into my craft—regardless of whether it’s music or personal. There is lots of work I put in to get where I am today. Even if it may not be much, it was well earned.
