Q. Good day, Jnovmbr! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how did you get into making music?
A. I got into making music just from having a deep passion for it. It was always around growing up, and I come from a family who’s loved music as well. I played instruments when I was younger and eventually started making beats and transitioned to an artist later on.
Q. Who would you say are your musical influences?
A. My biggest influences are Kanye West and J Cole, but I’m inspired by a plethora of artists and producers as well.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. The biggest highlight of my career so far is shutting down SOB’s. It was a great show, and it’s such a legendary venue. It just felt good to be on that stage.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In the next five years, I see myself making the best music I can possibly make, as well as being established in the industry with collabs that I’ve dreamed of. I see myself as a staple in hip-hop while also being a poster child for growth, resilience, and self-improvement.
Q. What is one message you have for your fans and supporters?
A. One message I have for my supporters is, first, thank you — without y’all none of this would be possible; and second, to always believe in yourself and stay consistent.
