An Interview With Angxl: The Rising Musician Breaking Down His Trap Sound

Q. Good day, Angxl!
We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

A. When it comes to how I would describe my sound to someone who’s never heard my music before, I’m not really sure how I would describe it. My new EP leans more toward chill-trap, but I definitely like to explore different sounds.

Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist? Why that one?

A. A specific song in my catalog that I feel defines who I am as an artist is actually my new song, “GO.” Although it’s recent, I feel like it shows my progress from previous releases. It really shows off my flow, bars, and rapping ability.

Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A. If I had the opportunity to collaborate with any artist, living or dead, I would love to collaborate with Tyler the Creator because of his musical style. He has multiple styles, so the two of us on a song would go crazy.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

A. The biggest risk I’ve taken in my music career so far has to be trying out “managers” or people to help me, only to find out they were actually scamming me.

Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?

A. If this interview were the last thing someone read before listening to my music, I would want them to know that I’m a rapper from SC. I have my own style, and all I want to do is prove that a rapper can make it big from SC.
