A. For someone who’s never heard my music before, I’d describe my sound as an “ear reset.” My music blends raw emotion and honest lyrics with drill and cultural-inspired beats. My flows are unique to me, and the way I articulate my life experiences and struggles makes my sound authentic and personal.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist?
A. One song in my catalog that really defines me as an artist is “Some Things Neva Change.” That track represents my ability to touch on different subjects, ideas, and emotions while still staying true to myself and the way I want my art to represent who I am.
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
A. If I could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, it would definitely be Juice Wrld. His melodic storytelling and emotional pain in his music created records with incredible replay value that truly resonate on a deep level.
Q. What has been the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. The biggest risk I’ve taken in my career was believing in myself enough to invest in my music and put it out into the world. Not everyone chooses to create music and put a face behind it, so taking that step was a major risk for me financially, mentally, and physically.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. I would want the people reading this to know, before listening to my music, that I’m no different from any of the other 8.3 billion people on this planet and that I have the same 24 hours as everyone else. I believe that anything is possible with God first, and that with enough determination, strength, and perseverance, you can accomplish anything you want to achieve.
