Q. Good day, Duck400! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?
A. There are many ways to describe my sound. But to describe my sound is to feel the vibration and be fully there in the moment that is the present. My sound catalog is like a roller coaster that is not bound to a lot of loops or just being super fast. My sound is a mixture of everything that someone who comes from the same struggle as me wants to turn to in order to get away from the scene of what everyone else does.
Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist?
A. The song in my catalog that I would say describes me best is my song called "ONE TIME." This song was truly made in the same vibe that it produces when listened to. This song describes me because it reflects the mood that I present when I’m at my best, in a flow-state sense, and gain the ability to make my best sounds. Although this song describes me, it in no way defines me, only because I feel as though if I made a song that defines me, it would have all types of crazy beat switches, drops, and melody changes.
Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
A. If I had the chance to make a song with any artist, it would be Jazmine Sullivan. Her vocals are powerful, urban, and smooth. With my vibey, melodic aura in my music, Jazmine Sullivan would complement my song just as much as I would complement hers.
Q. What has been the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
A. The biggest risk I have taken in my music career so far has been spending my last 100 dollars on radio plays. In that era of life, honestly, I shouldn’t have been spending on anything given my situation, but I always feel it in my soul to take a chance on myself because I know I’m destined to be great.
Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?
A. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to my music, I would want any listeners to know that I do it all for their satisfaction, and all I want is for my sound to make the world rock to it in unison. I put my soul into the sound, so I just hope you like it.
