Q. Good day, Humble Ichi! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how did you come up with your artist name, and what does it represent to you?
A. When I first started making music back in 2015, my artist name was Humble Fire. As I grew, I changed it to Humble Ichi. “Ichi” means “one” in Japanese. I was inspired by the anime Bleach, but the deeper meaning is that we’re all connected through oneness. That’s what the name represents to me—staying humble while recognizing that we’re all part of something greater.
Q. What has your journey as an artist been like up to this point?
A. My journey as a musician has had a lot of ups and downs, but writing music has always helped me push through. I’ve created songs that people have really connected with, but now I’m in a different place creatively. More than anything, I want my music to move people’s hearts, inspire growth, and encourage others to become the best version of themselves.
Q. What makes your music different from what listeners might hear from other artists in your genre?
A. I believe what makes me different is my sound. I’m rare, and I’m versatile. I can create different styles of music while still staying true to who I am. My goal is to connect with people on multiple levels, whether they’re looking for motivation, healing, or something they can truly relate to.
Q. What was the moment that made you realize you wanted to pursue music seriously?
A. I fell in love with music when I was seven years old after my teacher put me in a recording studio. That experience changed everything for me. It made me realize that creativity and art can set people’s minds free. Knowing that my music has the power to reach and impact others is what motivates me to keep going harder and continue empowering people.
Q. What message or energy are you trying to bring to listeners through your music?
A. Everything I speak about in my music is meant to reach the core of people. I want to inspire them to break unhealthy patterns, grow, and become free. My goal is to shine light on the truth that real freedom, peace, and happiness come from within—not from material things or outward appearances. If my music can help someone see that and change their life, then I’m fulfilling my purpose.
