Q. Good day, Yung KB! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?
A. I began my musical journey at a young age and wrote my initial song at the age of 13. Since then, I have developed a passion for the process of creating music. I wrote my first few lyrics while I was living in Toronto.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. I believe that my music has its unique influence, but I must admit that I have admired various musicians while growing up. For example, Tupac, Biggie, Snoop Dogg, and Naughty By Nature. I am also familiar with more recent artists such as Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Sleepy Hallow, Sheff G, Fivio Foreign, and Polo G. I feel a connection with these musicians because they do not create music based on trends or popularity but instead share their personal experiences and observations.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Although I cannot pinpoint a specific moment of great success, I have achieved several accomplishments that I am proud of. One of them is building a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase through my Instagram account, and another is reaching my target of 50,000 views on my third music video titled "Drunk & Nasty," which I uploaded to YouTube. These are just a few examples that come to mind, and I anticipate achieving many more accomplishments in the future.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. I envision myself being financially stable in the next five years, whether that is through pursuing music or any other business venture that I choose to undertake. Music is my primary and ultimate passion, and I plan to continue writing lyrics for as long as possible. In five years, I hope to have performed with well-known musicians and achieved mainstream success. I am committed to working tirelessly on my music every day to make this dream a reality.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. I constantly advise people to be authentic and honest with themselves because it's the only thing that distinguishes us from fake and insincere individuals. I hold deep appreciation for all my fans and supporters. When I eventually achieve success, I will use my platform to spread positivity and valuable insights to everyone.
